The Justice Turn of Political Philosophy in University Teaching Management
Shi Liangping

Huaiyin Normal University, Huailan Jiangsu Province, 223001;

Abstract: University teaching management is not merely a technical administrative activity, but a just practice concerning the definition and distribution of power, rights, and interests. Political philosophy, with justice at its core, has profoundly influenced the value foundations of educational management through its theoretical evolution—from classical moral idealism to Rawls's overlapping consensus and the normative reconstruction of analytical Marxism. Contemporary teaching management faces deep-seated tensions between specialization and politicization, knowledge transmission and value judgment, individual freedom and institutional norms; these essentially manifest as concrete expressions of justice issues. The justice-oriented shift in political philosophy demands that teaching management elevate management rules to normative principles, transition from political indoctrination to value guidance, move from authoritarian management to dialogic consultation, and be grounded in the practical character of historical materialism, thereby achieving the legitimacy reconstruction and value reconfiguration of teaching systems.
