Abstract: Driven by the strategies of rural revitalization and the inheritance of revolutionary culture, red tourism integration has become an important direction for rural tourism development. Rural public spaces serve as key carriers for villagers’ social interaction, cultural transmission, and tourism experiences, and their design directly influences the effectiveness of rural development. This paper takes the public space of Panyang Village as the research object, analyzes the connotation and value of revolutionary culture, and integrates these with the current situation of Panyang Village. It proposes three design strategies—cultural empowerment, functional composite, and ecological adaptation—to provide references for the public space design of similar red tourism villages.
Keywords: red tourism integration; rural public space; Panyang Village; cultural empowerment; functional composite; ecological adaptation
