Abstract: A representative problem in upper-level Mathematics that can demonstrate all-round thinking is the double integral. Multivariable functions, planar regions, iterated integrals and their applications can all be included to foster students' spatial imagination, selection of methods and modelling skills. Although many students can perform basic calculations in their daily studies at present, they often find it difficult to draw integration regions, find the limits of integration, change the order of integration, or explain the practical significance of the results. The concept of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) offers a way to change the teaching model for double-integral calculus from content-centred to student-outcome-centred. Teachers can set learning objectives that focus on the concept, area, expression of calculation, selection method and application transfer in their classroom teaching. Classroom tasks, representative cases, error analysis and varied assessments can all be employed to help students develop stable mathematical abilities.
