Abstract:Colour is not merely a visual effect; it is a means of expression of human emotions and a manifestation of cultural connotations. This paper focuses on the colour presentation of Pu 'er woodblock prints and discusses it from two dimensions: first, it summarizes the main characteristics of its colour appearance, the intense and saturated colour tone, the subjective expressive colour use, and the rich layering effect; Second, analyze the causes of the color features from both geographical and humanistic perspectives, and reveal how Pu 'er's unique red soil plateau landscape and the visual genes of its multi-ethnic culture internalize into the artist's color expression. The study suggests that the color presentation of Pu 'er woodblock prints is a dual projection of regional nature and human ecology, and it is this color language rooted in the local that endows the woodblock prints with vivid artistic vitality.
